Soreness is the new hotness
I think I just completed my 3rd day of Wii fit last night, and I can actually say my legs are a bit sore. The more you go in the game, the more things that unlock for you. I try to do a minimum of 30 min. each day on it. I do think I am to the point where I could just alternate aerobics and strength training. I was going to get up early and do the Yoga part, but forgot about it until just now as I am typing this. I definitely need a schedule.

I can has a wii fit?
Got my Wii fit yesterday with Jennifer after a mad dash to Target during the work day. Set up my profile and everything. Its definitely not an exact science as far as weight and BMI goes. I have my official one from work for comparisons and a pretty significant difference. Jennifer reports that her's is pretty close, so I'm going to chalk that up to hardwood floor vs. carpet being the problem. It does come with little footie thingies on the bottom for people with carpet so I may have to add those tonight to see if it makes a difference.
I will say that I am a little sore today after spending 30 min of actual excercise time on it last night that it does track. It has a little calendar that tracks your progress from day to day. Pretty cool for the most part but its not without its flaws - the pushups are awkward and almost impossible without giving yourself carpal tunnel.

Because I complained
Its hotter than hell today. Its ok. I can deal with that. That means I can attempt to become a shade darker than my normal pastey-white. I'm trying to talk Jeremy into letting me get an easy-set pool. I've never owned a pool but I think I could get used to having somewhere cool to lay on a hot day. Jennifer is with me and would be my floaty buddy! She told me Biglots is having a sale on them, so I am half tempted to buy one today and give it a shot.

Memorial Day weekend
Holy hell its cold outside! What is the use of a 3-day weekend when its cold and rainy? I'm trying to figure out a good use for the weekend. I'm thinking shampooing the carpet, I know, riveting!! This is why...
My cat, Max, is an asshole that doesn't like his $300 cat box.
The reason we own a $300 cat box (and that is what we call it) is because we are SO BUSY (lazy) that we can't even be bothered to scoop out a litter box! In theory, it's actually pretty slick... It looks like a toilet with litter in it. It washes and liquefies the poo and then flushes it down your toilet. He shits in it about 50/50. I know he has used it and our other kitty, Onyx, does use it. But Max on the other hand has to have the right conditions in order to use it. I think it has to be with in 5 feet of him (can't do too much exercise) and it probably has to be a Thursday. So the next step is to add another litter box downstairs. We have to be careful where we put our litter box due to the dogs. They eat cat poop. I don't want them to eat cat poop, so we use a pet door in our bathroom to keep the dogs out of the snacks. It works OK, except I haven't had a master bathroom for the last year due to not wanting to get cat litter embedded in the bottom of my feet. The things I do for my animals, I'm pretty sure they have it better than we do. Oh well, maybe this weekend I can finally reclaim bathroom.
the cat genie.

F**K DDR
I realized why I having played it in so long. 1st of all Jennifer isn't here for competition. That is a major component of having a successful and sweaty Dance off. 2nd, yeah, I've probably gained another 10lbs since I last did it so it was a bit of a challenge. I'm not a big fan of the version for the 360 anyway, old school xbox version is the best, but the 360's lights are prettier.
Me, after one DDR session, an artist's rendition:

Being a fatty...
I'm sick of it. I have started and stopped god knows how many exercise programs. I'm not delusional, I know why I weigh what I do. Laziness and the eating out/poor food choices. No one to blame but myself and my own lack of willpower. I was athletic in high school, wore a size 5/6. I'll always have the big ass, but its not so bad when you have a skinny waist. :)
I kinda had the idea that I would get a Wii Fit, use that in conjunction with my DDR pad on my 360 and blog about it. Something like the "Fat video game player's guide to losing weight". I unfortunately did not get a Wii Fit this week. So possibly I will just log the DDR workouts and go from there.
